Two licence tiers
Every sound is sold under either a Personal or a Commercial licence, shown on the sound page and at checkout. Each licence is granted by the sound's creator, through ReadySFX, to the person or studio that bought it. It's worldwide, doesn't expire, and isn't exclusive — other people can license the same sound.
Always allowed
- •Editing, layering, pitching, trimming and mixing the sound.
- •Using it inside your projects — games, videos, films, podcasts, apps, streams — where it's part of the finished work.
- •Letting your team members and contractors use it while working on your project.
Never allowed
- •Reselling, sharing or giving away the sound file, on its own or in a sound library, sample pack or asset pack — even if you've edited it.
- •Registering the sound with a content-identification system, such as YouTube Content ID.
- •Using the sound to train, fine-tune or test an AI or machine-learning model, or to create a dataset for one.
- •Claiming you created the sound, or registering it as a trademark or sound logo.
If a sound is removed
If we remove a sound because it infringed someone else's rights, we'll try to let you know and may refund you, and you must stop using it in new work (see the Terms of Service). A licence also ends if its order is refunded or charged back.
