The short version
ReadySFX doesn't use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and doesn't follow you around other websites. The site keeps a few small things in your browser so that it works: mainly keeping you signed in and remembering your cart.
All of them are strictly necessary for something you asked for, which is why there's no cookie banner. If we ever add anything that isn't strictly necessary, we'll ask for your consent first and update this page.
What we keep in your browser
- •Your sign-in session (browser storage, set by our sign-in provider). Keeps you signed in between visits. Removed when you sign out.
- •Your cart while you're signed out (browser storage). Moved into your account when you sign in.
- •Uploads you haven't finished (browser database, creators only). Lets an upload survive a page refresh. Cleared once it's published or you remove it, and never sent to us until you publish. You can switch this off in Settings → Upload preferences, which also clears anything already saved.
- •Small conveniences (browser storage): the price you last uploaded at, the volume you set on the sound player and on pack trailers, and whether you hid the creator checklist. They never leave your browser.
- •A random search code (browser storage). Sent with your searches as a backup way to count each visitor only once; normally we use a scrambled code made from your network address and the date instead. Neither is ever linked to your account.
- •A custom request you're still writing (session storage). Keeps the title, description and references if you go back or refresh before sending. Cleared once it's sent, and gone when you close the tab.
- •A one-time reload marker (session storage). After we update the site, it lets an open tab reload itself once instead of showing an error. Gone when you close the tab.
Other websites
When you pay, you do it on Stripe's own checkout page, which uses its own cookies for security and fraud prevention under Stripe's policies. If you choose to sign in with Google, you sign in on Google's own pages under Google's policies.
Everything else, including fonts, scripts and the sound-recognition model used when creators upload, is served by ReadySFX itself, so loading our pages doesn't send your details to other companies.
Your choices
You can clear or block site data at any time in your browser's settings. If you do, you'll be signed out and a signed-out cart will be emptied; the site can't keep you signed in without storing your session.
